Hello everyone...I am 8yrs old and was struck with Leukemia when I was two. I have been in remission for over 5yrs and feeling quit good. I still have my moments of being tired as well as grumpy. I can remember when I was taken to the doctor because I felt so sick. My mom held me for hours as my stomach was in pain. My mom and I had arrived to the doctors office and the doctor did a full examination on me. I remember the doctor telling my mom that my spleen was enlarged....of course at my age I did not know what a spleen was. My mom put me in the crib at the hospital as we both cried together. The doctor said I needed to see a blood specialist...about an hour the doctor came in to tell me I had a blood cancer called ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia).
